On Thursday, 3 April, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, held several meetings within the scope of the anniversary 30th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States held in Saint-Petersburg (Russian Federation).
Inter alia, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met Vadim Popov, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus; Marian Lupu, Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova; Ogtay Asadov, Chairman of the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic.
At the meetings the Parties discussed further development of bilateral relations, especially at the parliamentary level.
A.Yatseniuk also met А Lluis Maria de Puig, Chairman of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly, and Goran Lennmarker, the OSCE PA President. The Parties discussed further intensification of cooperation at the level of inter-parliamentary bodies.
